Point out that the sentences always have a punctuation mark at the end (. ? ! ) Have your child point to the first word in the sentence and follow the sentence with his/her finger until you come to the end of the sentence.

Prepare a list of words that are both familiar and fun (e.g. family members’ names, pets names, color words, toys etc.,). Print it out in large letters. Ask your child to point to the top of the page then the word at the top of the page. Let your child know that these are opposites.
